Who are we?

Launched by a partnership of 5 grassroots organisations

trying to make a difference in a deprived area of Hull.

We want to share practice in a practical way.

So why?

Because we've learned the hard way,

we've reinvented the wheel (a few times)

and we've often asked

… HOW do you do that? EXAMPLES please!

Opensourcecommunity started from a faith-based partnership called Community House based at the Community Church in Hull.

  • - supporting those suffering unwanted pregnancy

    - a social enterprise recycling furniture and domestic appliances for people on low incomes

  • Hull Lighthouse Project

    - working with women in prostitution
